We traveled to Tallahassee for the August 6 Summer Commencement Exercises at Florida State University where our daughter Lucy was hooded and granted her Ph.D. degree in Literature. This photo at the right shows the hooding ceremony in which Lucy is hooded by Professor Montgomery of the Department of English, Florida State University. The photo below shows Lucy returning to her seat following the granting of her degree and being congratulated by her professor, the Deans, and the President of Florida State. Long ceremony, but well worth it to have made the trip. Congratulations, Lucy!
