Sunshine!

This cardinal was the cover photo for our Christmas greeting to friends this year.  We found him in Inverness Village last January on one of the many walks we enjoyed during our stay on Hilton Head Island.

We’re back in HH now, again having fled the cold winds of Boone winters, and we look forward to seeing this fellow and his friends on our daily walks.  Today promises to be a good one for walking and birdwatching, and we expect to see more activity as the sunshine warms the birds (and us).

The break in the weather, changing from full cloud cover to full sun, brings a smile and new energy to get outside.  I’ve just realized that we’ve been in HH since Saturday and I haven’t yet taken my camera out of the bag!  I must change that today!
