System Board Replaced!

My laptop went dark rather suddenly last week while I was editing photos in Lightroom, and after the initial shock I remembered to check with Dell to see whether my warranty had expired.  Lucky me! the warranty is still in effect until December, so a call to Dell brought the service person up the mountain from Winston-Salem, and I’m now back in business.  Got me to thinking, though, that I should begin looking for a replacement laptop because the next time it happens it will be a toss-up as to whether I should pay for a new system board and repairs or just buy a new computer.  I think the choice will be rather obvious in favor of the new computer, so it’s time to start looking…
